2019: Mid-Year Reading Wrap-Up

Hello & Happy Summer or Winter, depending on where you are in the world! Here we are at the midpoint of 2019, so I thought I’d check in with a wrap-up of what I’ve read (or attempted to read) so far this year.

I’ve attempted 38 books, read 35 of them, and DNF’d three. I think that’s pretty darn good considering this year has been trying at times. My goal was to read at least 5 books a month, so I’m over that by a few. Here are some reading stats:

  • 87% Women Authors
  • 74% Review Copies
  • 47% Suspense/Thrillers
  • 45% British Settings
  • 16% Library Books
  • 13% Cozy Mysteries
  • 13% Historical Fiction
  • 11% Audiobooks

Below is the list of books I’ve read this year in order, in groups of 10-ish. If you click on the title, it will take you to my review on Goodreads 🙂 📚 →

  1. Nice group of books you’ve read! I only have read The Weight of Lies, and I see you have it as DNF. It was okay for me, not great, but I did finish it. I DNF in a month more than you did all 1/2 year, lol. I’m a mood reader so it’s hard to predict what I’d want to read next.I did read a fun book by Mia March last year and I see you read another. Have a good week, Diana.

  2. This is a great idea to take stock in what you’ve read the first half of the year. Super list! I’m on track to read 36b books this year. I’m not reading as much because I’m trying to focus more on my art, so I’m trying to be VERY selective!
