π HOME BEFORE DARK by Riley Sager (β β β β Β½) | Very creepy!! I had to leave a light on to sleep for a few nights. This would be a perfect October horror thriller.
π SNOWFLAKES by Ruth Ware (β β β β ) | The title caught my attention. I wondered if this quick 26-page short story was somehow connected to her upcoming book ONE BY ONE, but it definitely is not. It’s really not like anything I’ve read of hers before, but heck, I really liked it. Honestly while reading it, the tone gave me a Shirley Jackson vibe. Ruth Ware packed a lot into just a few pages. The subject matter is sad and distressing, yet a couple of lines put a smirky smile on my face.
π§ TOO MUCH AND NEVER ENOUGH (β β β β β ) | Many of my why and how questions were answered from an insider’s and psychologist’s perspective. Listened on audiobook & enjoyed the author’s narration of her memoir.

You and I share the same perspective on Mary Trumpβs book. Enlightening.

I’m definitely reading Home Before Dark. I’ve loved other books by Riley Sager. He does creepy very well. I also saw that short work by Ruth Ware and wondered about a connection to her new book. Interesting to know that the answer is ‘no’, but I think I’ll try it before the new one comes out. Can’t wait for that one.

Just loved Home Before Dark – so creepy is correct. I need to try Snowflake, I do like Ruth Ware. My husband wanted to buy Mary Trump’s new book but, I told him we could get the Cliff Notes version from all the media outlets and all her interviews.LOL

I mainly wanted her book because Donald sued to stop it’s publication. Just another little bit of resistance. :-)
