What authors have you recently discovered and loved?
Several! I’m going to define this question as meaning authors in the last year (July ’20 – July ’21) that I hadn’t heard of before, or that I’d heard of but hadn’t read. (I know some of them have been around for many years!) Here’s my list:
- Riley Sager
- Waubgeshig Rice
- Aimee Molloy
- Anne River Siddons
- David Heska Wanbli Weiden
- Laura Dave
- Ashley Audrain
- Kate Riordan
Click on the author’s name to visit their Goodreads page. Do we share any favorites?

Sager is definitely an auto read for me. Iβve got Malloy and Dave on my shelf to read so your choosing them to be on this list excites meπ

I’ve recently discovered Suhata Massey and Vaseem Khan. Good mysteries and a look into Indian culture and historical events. :)

I love that particular book by Anne Rivers Siddons – though that’s the only ‘Gothic’ that she’s written. I’ve read others by her, but they are nothing like that one. I also like Riley Sager and have read most of his books, just not the latest two. And I’ll second Jenclair’s recommendation of Sujata Massey. Her Perveen Mistry series is wonderful.

I wish Siddons had written more Gothics. Her one and only was so good. My sister is a fan of her other work, so I’m up for giving it a try.

Nope… none in common. But I’m glad to see you’ve found some new favorites for you!

I have read none of these! I’ve had Anne Rivers Siddon on my TBR for years and want to try Riley Sager. I don’t think I’ve really read any new authors lately. I’ve mostly been staying with safe and reliable but I’ve got a few I want to try.

Love this post. I’ve read Anne River Siddons books, but it’s been years. I’ll have to look for some of her more recent books. Thanks!

I haven’t read any of these authors, but hope to give The Push a try at some point! I always love finding new favourite authors, but it doesn’t happen too often.
