Sunday Post | It’s Monday! What are you reading?

Linking up with Kimberly @ Sunday Post and Kathryn @ It’s Monday! What are you reading?

💐 Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all the moms and mother figures out there! My family has been spoiling me by letting me have a “do nothing” day today, and tomorrow I’m getting a special brunch & dinner. Love it!

Sorry I’ve been missing for a while. We had a family emergency at the beginning of April, so much of last month was a fail when it came to reading. I was so tired by the end of the day, all I wanted to do was mindlessly scroll through TikTok. 🤪 Things are much better now and getting back to normal, thankfully. I’ve been able to read some great books over the past couple of weeks.

💉🦠 Finally, in good news, I got my first COVID shot over & done this week. Yay! I can’t wait to be fully vaccinated before summer starts. ☀️

What I’ve Been Reading:

THE DROWNING KIND by Jennifer McMahon (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME by Laura Dave (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
GHOSTWIND by Rachel Ann Payne (⭐⭐⭐)
THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR by Anne Rivers Siddons (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Check out the many different covers of this book!?!

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about the family emergency and sincerely hope that everything has settled down and is okay. I refused to download Tik Tok but then Instagram created Reels so I end up just mindlessly scrolling through them. I probably should have just gotten tik tok.

    • I haven’t warmed up to Reels on Instagram yet, probably because I see that stuff on TikTok! It was weird when Twitter added “stories,” though they call them something else. The social media apps are becoming too similar.

  12. What a relief to be able to have the energy to read again, but stress and tiredness does that and mindless scrolling works! Great that you got your first Covid shot. Will bring some peace for sure.
